baby too-yah

last weekend we visited a pet store, and instead of walking away with a puppy, will walked
away with his first too-yah doll. so far, he's proven to be an excellent mousker-daddy.

he gives too-yah juice when he's thirsty,

 feeds too-yah mac n'cheese when he's hungry,

and snuggles too-yah when he's sleepy.

that too-yah is one lucky little mouse.

will speak, sixteen month edition

too-yah!
put mickey mouse clubhouse on the tv.  right now.  i said now!
(if you also frequently watch mickey mouse clubhouse, you would know that the sensational six often call upon toodles, the mousker-tool machine, to help them solve their mousker-problems.  too-yah is will's toodles).

ah dah!
all done!  all done with that one sip of juice.  now onto the next sip.  ah dah!  with that one.  let's have one more sip.  ah dah!  and so on.

ey bee, goo guh.
hey bean, good girl.  pats bean's side rather vigorously, sometimes requiring an intervention on bean's behalf.

moh moh moh!
more more more!  as in, i just ate a cracker, so i yell moh moh moh! mommy points out that i have many crackers in my snack cup.  i eat one.  and then i yell moh moh moh! even though my cup is still full of crackers.
it's fun to mess with mommy.

cah beep beep, cah beep beep
i want to ride in my little red car all around the neighborhood and beam with pride as other toddlers ooh and ah over my sweet wheels.

dee dah!
we've uncovered the meaning of dee dah, a longtime mystery word in our household.  it means clean up.  not as exciting as you thought, right?

on top of these fun phrases, we've got the basics down, like park and shoe and sock, dog and kitty, blocks and balls, cheese and crackers and juice, and, of course, the two very best words in the english language - mommy and daddy.

molars, a cold, and heaven.

in the midst of the molar madness, coughing craziness and sleepless surrender
that has been this week, i snapped this photo.  it's a brief moment of
peacefulness, the boy snuggled on our bed with his boppies (blankies),
watching too-yah (mickey mouse clubhouse... i'll explain that one in a future post).

he is heaven.  never mind the (gooey) details.

scenes from na-ny's house

playing with "na-ny" was the most fun will's ever had.

grampy is danny's best friend.  can you tell?

grampy will likely be baby patrick's best friend, too.

it's so fun to wake up to a morning spent playing with family.

and to eat breakfast at the big boy table.

i said it before and i'll say it again. cousins (and grampys and grammys
and aunties and uncles and *kikkis) are the best!

*kikki = kitten.  na-ny has two of them, and will was in love.  he even wanted to
play with them when he got up at 4:30 in the morning on our last day there.
that's 3:30 in the morning chicago time, for the record.
